MVC Game of Week

No. 17 Indiana State Sycamores (4-1, 2-0 MVC) at No. 2 Northern Iowa Panthers (3-1, 2-0), 5 p.m.
Series record: Northern Iowa leads, 23-4
Last meeting: Northern Iowa 30, at Indiana State 20 (Nov. 6, 2010)
What to know: With Indiana State running back Shakir Bell (who last week finished one yard short of back-to-back-to-back 200-yard rushing games) and Northern Iowa quarterback Tirrell Rennie (99 ypg, nine total touchdowns) going head-to-head, spectators will get to witness the two best offensive players in the MVC this season.
In addition to his ability as a dual-threat quarterback, Rennie has engineered an incredibly efficient offense. The Panthers have just two turnovers (two fumbles, zero interceptions) and have converted on all 15 trips to the red zone.
Senior linebacker L.J. Fort is the leader of the Panthers' defense, which has limited opponents to 14.75 points per game. So far this season Fort is second in the FCS in tackles per game (12.75) and leads the nation in forced fumbles (4).
Prediction: Northern Iowa 35, Indiana State 20
